Immersing portraits. Invigorating moments. Life stories.
This may be obvious, but photography is a narrative medium. We take photos to tell all manner of stories. Most often we take them to show the world, show ourselves, who we are. Where we’ve been. What we’ve done. We take them to give context to our lives. Sometimes our photos are aspirational. We take them to show people who we might become, who we are capable of being. In this way, a photograph is both a history and a forecast.
A good photograph must be more than a static document. It should engage the beholder’s curiosity by offering both an answer and inspiring a wellspring of follow-up questions. It should suggest a beginning and an ending. It should make the audience ask one of the most essential questions we ever ask, “What happens next?”
My name is Joseph, and I have been a photographer for nearly a decade. I specialize in dramatic and theatrical lifestyle portraits, as well as concerts and events, but have also done glamor and business headshots, pet portraits, and product photography.
I would love to help you tell your story.
